Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Hanover Central Wildcats, falling 68-38. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 51-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Highland's loss came despite strong showings from Justin Pack and Cameron Katz. Pack went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points, while Katz posted seven points. The dominant performance also gave Katz a new career-high in assists (four).

Highland's record is now 9-9. As for Hanover Central, the win also got them back to even at 9-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland will face off against Boone Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hanover Central, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats duke it out with the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gary West Side will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Hanover Central surely won't give up without a fight.
