League recap: Rios dominating on the mound for Firebaugh

Harbor league recap: 3/20/13

Anthony Rios was the best pitcher in Harbor this week, leading Firebaugh. Over the past week, he racked up one win and four strikeouts.

The Falcons had a successful week, as they won two total games to lead the league. Firebaugh beat Taft 6-5 and Lynwood 3-0.

Although the Falcons surrendered only one walk this week, the lowest number in the league over that span, Environmental Charter is still tops for the season with just two walks over 14 innings this year.

The highest batting average in the league this week belonged to Firebaugh's Brian Gonzales, who churned out three hits in seven at bats for a .429 average. His average for the season stands at .300, which ranks 21st in the league. Gonzales has accumulated nine base knocks this year so far.



Adam Palomino threw a shutout as he led the Falcons to victory over the Knights, 3-0, on Saturday.
