Hoosac Valley and Drury are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Hurricanes are taking a road trip to challenge the Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hoosac Valley has four straight victories, Drury has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Tuesday, Hoosac Valley got the win against Mount Everett Regional by a conclusive 19-2. Fans of the Hurricanes have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Meanwhile, Drury didn't have quite enough to beat Ludlow last Wednesday and fell 6-5.

Norah Wood made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Rivard, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Hoosac Valley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 22.5 runs this season. As for Drury, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
