Soccer Game Preview: Schuyler vs. Madison

Schuyler is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Monday. They will welcome the Madison Dragons at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Schuyler has ten straight victories, Madison has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Schuyler barely beat Ralston the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 4-1 win on Thursday. Schuyler might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Ralston with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Obed Benazo, Kevyn Martinez, David Arciga, and Damien Alaniz.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Madison's offense. They lost 8-0 to Scotus last Tuesday. One reason for the loss might be Madison's aggressive play style: three Madison players were handed yellow cards.

Schuyler's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
