Volleyball Game Preview: Chino Hills Huskies vs. Claremont Wolfpack

Chino Hills is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Claremont is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Huskies will host the Wolfpack at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chino Hills will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Upland, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Huskies came out on top against the Highlanders/Scots by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Chino Hills was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chino Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sean Spicer, who had 20 kills and nine digs. Spicer is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least six every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Way, who had 37 assists and five digs.

Meanwhile, Claremont got the win against Damien on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Wolfpack haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Claremont's got stronger as the match went on, holding Damien to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-12.

Chino Hills has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Claremont, their win bumped their record up to 20-8.
