Brawley dropped their record down to 9-14 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Carmel Sundevils. The Wildcats were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matches prior), but the Sundevils' pitcher proved too tough.
Brawley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniella Yescas, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
As for Mt. Carmel, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.

The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mt.
