Football Recap: Poudre School District Starts off Right with Win over Golden

Poudre School District took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Saturday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 7-6 victory over the Golden Demons.

Poudre School District didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Jillian Wind led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Golden is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poudre School District is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Mountain Range at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Golden, they will head out to take on Littleton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give the Demons their first taste of in-conference action this season.
