Basketball Recap: Howard Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Howard, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They put the hurt on the Freeman Flyers with a sharp 66-45 victory on Friday. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Freeman lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being David Walter, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds. Chris Aasen was another key player, putting up eight points.

Howard pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Freeman, they moved to 3-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Howard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-40 victory against Wynot on the 4th. As for Freeman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-51 defeat against Dell Rapids on the 4th.
