Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ilwaco). They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Naselle Comets on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Fishermen in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won five in a row.

Ilwaco's win bumped their record up to 2-4-1. As for Naselle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Ilwaco will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chief Leschi on the 15th. The Fishermen are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
