Tianna Hansen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Aleya Wegner was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Demi Miller also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Taylorsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Granger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 20-1 to Timpanogos.

Taylorsville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. Granger's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Granger's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Taylorsville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Granger, though, as they've been averaging only 2.3 strikeouts. Will Taylorsville keep running through batters, or will Granger buck the trend?
Everything went Taylorsville's way against Granger when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Taylorsville made off with a 10-0 win. Does Taylorsville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Granger turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
