Soccer Recap: Edmonds-Woodway Takes a Loss

If Edmonds-Woodway was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Mountlake Terrace on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lynnwood Royals on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Edmonds-Woodway came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Lynnwood are ranked 166th).

Edmonds-Woodway's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-2. As for Lynnwood, their record is now 3-8-1.

Coming up, Edmonds-Woodway will be playing at home against Lake Stevens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Stevens will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Edmonds-Woodway surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lynnwood, they will head out to take on Shorewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
