Baseball Recap: Baker County Takes a Loss

Baker County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Keystone Heights Indians, falling 14-2. The Wildcats have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Baker County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blane Chauncey, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Baker County now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Keystone Heights, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baker County will venture away from home to take on Hilliard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Keystone Heights, they are taking a road trip to face off against West Nassau at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keystone Heights knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully West Nassau likes a good challenge.
