Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

After flying high against Holy Name last Sunday, Lincoln came back down to earth. The Lincoln Lions fell just short of the Licking Heights Hornets by a score of 49-46 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lions have suffered since February 10, 2024.

Lincoln has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Licking Heights, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will welcome St. Francis DeSales at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Licking Heights, they will host Utica at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
