Basketball Recap: Evansville Central Finds Playoff Glory Versus Evansville Bosse

Evansville Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 56-37. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 161st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Evansville Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daveon Smith, who went 9-for-10 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Smith has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zaryen Moore, who earned eight points and six steals.
