Basketball Recap: Seacrest Country Day's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of five wins, Seacrest Country Day's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took an 81-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aubrey Rogers Patriots. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (68), the Stingrays still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Seacrest Country Day still got an impressive performance from Fedor Vuksanovic, who went 9 of 21 en route to 23 points and seven rebounds. Vuksanovic's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Leon, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 13 points and five boards.

Aubrey Rogers' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Muhammad Yusuf, who posted 17 points. Michael Fay was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Seacrest Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Aubrey Rogers, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-11.

Seacrest Country Day has already played their next match, a 61-50 victory against The Village School of Naples on the 14th. As for Aubrey Rogers, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-50 defeat against Palmetto Ridge on the 7th.
