Softball Recap: New Oxford Takes a Loss

New Oxford managed to slip by Central York the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Colonials came up short against the Panthers on Friday, falling 15-5. The Colonials were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Aralyn Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

New Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Central York, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, New Oxford will square off against Northeastern at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central York, they will take on Red Lion at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
