Soccer Recap: Wellington Takes a Loss

Wellington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers. That's two games in a row now that Wellington have lost by just one goal.

Wellington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellington will take on Greeley Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greeley Central's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they will face off against Kennedy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. KIPP Denver Collegiate will be up against Kennedy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.5 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
