For the first time this season, Greenwood will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will challenge the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. Greenwood's pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so T.L. Hanna's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Greenwood is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Wren on Friday. They fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 2-1. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Elliott Lantz was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.

Meanwhile, T.L. Hanna suffered their biggest defeat since March 12, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against James Island, falling 12-2.

T.L. Hanna's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Greenwood, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Greenwood came out on top in a nail-biter against T.L. Hanna in their previous matchup back in March of 2019, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greenwood since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
