It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Viewmont ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bountiful RedHawks, sneaking past 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Beckham Smith made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
