Baseball Game Preview: Sunnyside Blue Devils vs. Tucson High Magnet School Badgers

For the first time this season, Sunnyside will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunnyside is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Sunnyside didn't have quite enough to beat Kofa and fell 7-6.

PEDRO LOPEZ was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was MICHEL MUNIZ, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Tucson High Magnet School came up short against Nogales on Friday, falling 10-4. The Badgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Juan Hernandez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Maximilliano Cruz also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Sunnyside's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Tucson High Magnet School, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
