Baseball Recap: Sioux Central Takes a Loss

Sioux Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cherokee Washington Braves. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rebels have suffered since June 30, 2025.

Sioux Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Cherokee Washington, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Looking ahead, Sioux Central will square off against South Central Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cherokee Washington, they will host West Monona at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
