While Warsaw's victory against NorthWood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-6 back in April.

Brock Bowser looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grady Nelson and Kellan Bailey did most of the damage at the plate: Nelson went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Bailey went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double. That home run was Nelson's first of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Warsaw and bumps their season record up to 14-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for NorthWood, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-8 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Warsaw is set to challenge their familiar foe Northridge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, NorthWood will face off against rival Mishawaka at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.7, the Cavemen 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
