Basketball Recap: Jasmine Hall's Big Game Can't Quite Lead BASIS Flagstaff over Rough Rock

BASIS Flagstaff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-31 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rough Rock Sun Devils.

BASIS Flagstaff lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jasmine Hall, who almost dropped a triple-double on ten points, nine rebounds, and 12 steals. The dominant performance also gave Hall a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Maleea Moebes, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards.

Even though they lost, BASIS Flagstaff smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

BASIS Flagstaff's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Rough Rock, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-14.

BASIS Flagstaff will face off against Superior at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. BASIS Flagstaff is facing Superior at the right time seeing as Superior is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. Rough Rock has already played their next game (against Grand Canyon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
