Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Titus Vidalk and Joel Philpot Lead Fruitland to Victory + How To Watch

Fruitland won the last time they faced Emmett and things went their way on Friday too. The Grizzlies came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 28-20. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.

A big part of Fruitland's win came down to the chemistry between Titus Vidalk and his top target Joel Philpot. Vidalk threw for 214 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes while Philpot gained 119 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Philpot a new career-high in receiving yards (107). Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Spencer Tracy, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Emmett lost, don't look at Nessen Korell. Despite the final result, he rushed for 191 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.6 yards per carry.

Fruitland's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Emmett, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fruitland will host New Plymouth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Emmett, they will welcome Burley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
