Basketball Recap: Clear Creek Comes Up Short

Clear Creek was the 53-47 winner over Dayspring Christian Academy when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Clear Creek Golddiggers fell 45-35 to the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday.

Leading Dayspring Christian Academy to victory were Owen Mcclanahan and Max Krehbiel. Mcclanahan went 6-for-9 en route to 12 points and six rebounds, while Krehbiel posted ten points and seven boards. Logan Scritchfield also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Clear Creek has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, Clear Creek and Dayspring Christian Academy will both be playing SkyView Academy the next time they take the court. Clear Creek will head out to face SkyView Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Dayspring Christian Academy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st.
