Timberline is a perfect 6-0 against Lakes since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Blazers will host the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Timberline has six straight wins, Lakes has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While Timberline's victory against Peninsula wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blazers had just enough and edged out the Seahawks 10-9 on Monday. Those ten runs were actually the fewest the Blazers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Nevaeh Haagen was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Leovi Meno-Meyers was a standout: she scored a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Brookelyn Read was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Timberline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Lakes fell victim to Peninsula and their airtight pitching crew last Friday. They came up short against the Seahawks, falling 27-0.
Timberline's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Lakes, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Lakes' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Timberline has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 15.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Lakes, though, as they've been averaging 11.8 hits. Given Timberline's sizable advantage in that area, the Lancers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Timberline took their victory against Lakes when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 20-1 score. Do the Blazers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
