Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Childress walked away with it. They really took it to the Littlefield Wildcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-34 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won six matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Lucian Davis went supernova, rushing for 146 yards and one score on only seven carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Childress was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 352 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Littlefield only rushed for 173.

Littlefield lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sammy Saenz, who threw for 211 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 44 yards and one touchdown.

Childress has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points over those games. As for Littlefield, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

As of now, neither Childress nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
