The Surry Central Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the South Iredell Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Surry Central is headed out to face South Iredell after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Golden Eagles claimed a resounding 57-25 victory over South Stokes. The Golden Eagles pushed the score to 43-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Sauras had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Surry Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaycee Dalton, who shot 83% from the field on her way to 11 points and seven steals. Dalton is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 67% in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Leonard, who posted seven points in addition to seven steals and six assists.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, South Iredell beat Foard 46-42 on Wednesday.
