Soccer Game Preview: Huntley vs. Prairie Ridge

The Huntley Red Raiders will head out to square off against the Prairie Ridge Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Huntley has eight straight victories, Prairie Ridge has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Huntley is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Jacobs 6-2 on Tuesday. Given Huntley's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Jacobs are ranked 256th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Prairie Ridge managed to keep up with McHenry until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Wolves lost 4-0 to the Warriors.

Huntley's win bumped their record up to 8-0-2. As for Prairie Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-2.
