Baseball Recap: Herriman Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Herriman Mustangs came up short against the Viewmont Vikings and fell 9-5.

Boston Jacobson was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Jacobson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Easton Webb was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Herriman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Herriman will take on Boulder City in a tournament on Monday. As for Viewmont, they will venture away from home to square off against Farmington at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
