Baseball Recap: Sanford Wins Going Away Against South Park

Sanford came out on top against South Park on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Burros with a sharp 13-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Burros: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on Lucas Miller, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylan Mortensen, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Sanford lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win got Sanford back to even at 5-5. As for South Park, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
