Basketball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Legacy Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Ursuline Academy Bears and fell 58-24. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1146th, while the Bears are ranked 479th).

Annabelle Tobin was a one-woman wrecking crew for Ursuline Academy as she went 8 for 10 to rack up 22 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Tobin a new career-high in field goal percentage (80%). Lily Smith was another key player, going 8 of 18 en route to 17 points.

Legacy Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Ursuline Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-16.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Prestonwood Christian the next time they take the court. Ursuline Academy will host Prestonwood Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Legacy Christian Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
