Softball Recap: Franklin County Tech Finds Home Field Redemption Against Athol

There's no place like home for Franklin County Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Athol Bears on Wednesday as they made off with a 21-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won five in a row.

Taylor Underwood was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Cordelia Guerin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Franklin County Tech's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Franklin County Tech will take on Mohawk Trail Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Athol will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' contest: after the Eagles faces off against Northampton, they'll take on Athol again at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
