Basketball Recap: Meyer Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Meyer faced off against Live Oak Classical on Tuesday. The Ravens lost 69-46 to the Falcons. The Ravens were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Live Oak Classical was led to victory by Jayden Ogden and Duncan Ogden. Jayden dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists, while Duncan shot 43% from the field to rack up 24 points and six boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which Duncan has scored at least a third of the Falcons' points. Jaeden McNamara also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Meyer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Live Oak Classical, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Meyer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-40 victory against Northwest on the 4th. As for Live Oak Classical, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-48 win against Connally on the 4th.
