It was a good run, but Beechcroft unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Bishop Hartley Hawks, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-8, 25-6.

Bishop Hartley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Samantha Heuser led the charge by getting eight aces and five digs. Those eight aces gave Heuser a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addie Lawler, who had 15 digs and three assists.

Beechcroft's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Bishop Hartley, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8.

Beechcroft does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Hartley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Bexley on the 20th.
