Football Recap: Centennial Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Centennial unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 41-20 to the Redwood Rangers on Friday. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Golden Hawks couldn't quite close it out.

Although Centennial took the loss, they still got scores from Se'Kye Hodges and Preston Shults.

Redwood had a senior duo take command as Jimmie Burk rushed for 128 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries and Jordan Arreola threw for 167 yards and two TDs.

Coming up, Centennial will welcome Moorpark at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Redwood, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Clovis North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
