Riley Lormand was his usual excellent self, rushing for 267 yards and six scores on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Daniel Charpentier also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

One reason for the win was Acadiana Christian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Freedom Life Academy's QB won't forget Jaxon Olivier anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Lane Parks got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Thursday's contest might be decided on the ground. John Paul the Great Academy has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 329.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Acadiana Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 281.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
