Black Hills took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Yelm Tornados 59-18. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-12.

Tyler Venable was a one-woman wrecking crew as she almost dropped a double-double with 34 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave her a new career-high. Natalie Buchanan was another key player, putting up five points along with nine boards and five steals.

Black Hills smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Black Hills will look to defend their home court on Friday against R.A. Long at 1:30 p.m. As for Yelm, they will venture away from home to face off against Stadium at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.
