Softball Recap: Cass Wildcats vs. Plattsmouth Blue Devils

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wayne, Cass was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Plattsmouth Blue Devils out 5-4. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 12-9 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kylie Gaston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, Zoey Powles was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and a triple. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Harvey, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.
