Basketball Recap: Stephens County Comes Up Short

Stephens County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They came up short against the East Jackson Eagles, falling 77-56. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Stephens County's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for East Jackson, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stephens County will square off against Hebron Christian at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Hebron Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Stephens County surely won't give up without a fight. East Jackson has already played their next contest (against Prince Avenue Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
