Soccer Game Preview: Seabreeze vs. Spruce Creek

The Seabreeze Sandcrabs will venture away from home to face off against the Spruce Creek Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Seabreeze's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Thursday, Seabreeze came up short against Fleming Island and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Spruce Creek was forced to settle for a draw. They and New Smyrna Beach finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Spruce Creek's goal came courtesy of Dani Feldman, which was the first she's scored this season.

Spruce Creek's draw makes their record 8-3-1 this season. As for Seabreeze, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5-3.

Seabreeze took their win against Spruce Creek when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seabreeze since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
