Baseball Recap: Galena Bears vs. Verona Wildcats
Galena got themselves on the board against Verona on Friday, but Verona never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 17-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won nine in a row.
Jaxon Foster made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.
