Volleyball Recap: Strathmore Starts off Right with Win over Mcfarland

Strathmore had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the McFarland Cougars 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

One reason for the win was Strathmore's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 25-13.

Hannah Jones paced Strathmore's offense, picking up 19 kills. Jones got some help from Pearl Johnson and her 29 assists.

McFarland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Strathmore has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Tulare Union on the 19th. As for McFarland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Lindsay on the 19th.
