The Griffins will look to defend their home field against the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Mid-Carolina took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Fairfield Central, who comes in off a win.

Fairfield Central took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 35-0 victory over Andrew Jackson. Considering the Griffins have won three contests by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Fairfield Central's win came down to the chemistry between Kaden Diggs and his top target Ty'Quarius Shannon. Diggs rushed for 76 yards on only nine carries while Shannon rushed for 142 yards. What's more, Diggs racked up 143.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Fairfield Central's run defense was locked in: Andrew Jackson could only muster 1.8 yards per carry. The Griffins' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.5 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 6.2 on average over their last five games.

Meanwhile, Mid-Carolina lost to Batesburg-Leesville at home by a 41-24 margin on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Fairfield Central pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Mid-Carolina, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
