Rincon/University came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-0 victory last Friday.

Rincon/University had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-19.

Antonio Sabelli paced Rincon/University's offense, picking up 15 kills. Sabelli got some help from Tim Tran and his 29 assists. Sabelli was also a major player on defense: he and he shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Rincon/University's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-7. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

Rincon/University will take on Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tucson High Magnet School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
