Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Cougars vs. Pleasant Valley Spartans
Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasant Valley Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.
Pleasant Valley can attribute much of their success to Carsyn Kelley, who had four digs and two aces.
Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Pleasant Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Kennedy will challenge Washington at 3:40 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pleasant Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win vs. Center Point-Urbana on the 14th.
