Baseball Recap: Lutheran North Comes Up Short

Lutheran North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lutheran South Lancers. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 14-0 to the Lancers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Damerio Knox made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. Lutheran North is 4-1 when Knox posts two or more stolen bases, but 6-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Reno, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lutheran North's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lutheran South, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8-1.

Coming up, Lutheran North will challenge Principia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lutheran South, they will face off against Whitfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
