Basketball Recap: Wagner Takes a Loss

Wagner was the 63-57 winner over O'Neill when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wagner Red Raiders fell 58-48 to the O'Neill Eagles on Tuesday. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

O'Neill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braxen Eichelberger, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Turner Heiss, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Wagner's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for O'Neill, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Wagner has already played their next match (against Burke), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. O'Neill has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Norfolk Catholic.
