Basketball Recap: Siegel's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

After losing to Riverdale the last time they met, Siegel decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Siegel Stars came out on top against the Riverdale Warriors by a score of 51-43 on Friday. Given the Stars' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Warriors are ranked 250th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Siegel now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Riverdale, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Siegel will host Oakland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blackman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blackman will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Riverdale surely won't give up without a fight.
