Baseball Recap: La Canada Spartans vs. Pasadena Bulldogs

La Canada proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 12) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Pasadena Bulldogs 5-3. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Fritz Phillips looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. La Canada is 4-2 when Phillips allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.
